Today I got to ride along with Dewey to Short Bay to check the crab pots. (There were three pots to check.) I've never been to Short Bay before so it was fun to see someplace new. It was about a half hour ride one-way (a little over 11 miles) and it was pretty rough water, so it takes awhile to get there.
The first picture shows a scene from Short Bay.
The Second Picture shows the bouys marking the first crab pot we're going to check. (The Lodge uses plastic Clorox bottles to mark the pots with a name and address.)
The third photo shows Dewey pulling up the Crab Pot. (Crab Pots are anywhere from 10-60 feet in the water, and it's a lot harder to pull them up then it looks.)
The fourth picture is what we caught - 4 Crabs!
